Lava International, an Indian multinational electronics company manufactures smartphones, laptops, computer hardware’s and consumer electronics being founded in 2009 as an offshoot of a telecommunication venture. Lava international is situated in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. As of 2016, Lava had been working to establish a mobile phone design center in India and for setting up new manufacturing facilities.

Chip-maker Intel has tied up with Lava for announcing the first smartphone in India with an Intel processor, the Xolo X900. With this handset, the Xolo brand was been launched. Lava had entered the tablet market in the same year with the E-Tab Z7H. Lava had launched its flagship smartphone, Iris Pro 30, which was been the first in its Iris Pro series.The Lava Iris X1 was one of the earliest smartphones in India which was run on the Android Kitkat (4.4) operating system.

The company had launched its first smartphone which was run on the Windows Phone operating system, the Iris Win1.

The Xolo X50 smartphone running on the Android Lollipop (5.1) operating system, had been launched in July 2016.

Lava had launched 4G Connect M14, India’s first 4G enabled phone.

Lava had launched the Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6 and myZ which were the world’s first customisable smartphones being operated by Android. Lava had also launched BeFIT Fitness Band

Lava had launched laptop operated by Android Auto. AUX, USB, HDMI, Bluetooth, WiFi, were installed along with laptop and 15 inch display and 10 GB RAM integrated.

According to the IDC Asia Pacific Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker 2014, Lava’s market share in was been 8%. Lava was been ranked India’s fifth most trusted mobile handset brand, and the 75th most trusted among 1,200 brands by The Brand Trust Report 2014. In the same year, the company was been ranked the fourth largest smartphone brand in India by IDC.
